BUILDING A CREATIVE COMMUNITY

The present North Bay Potters’ Guild was established in 2014 by a group of avid pottery enthusiasts.  Their intention was to fill the void left when Canadore College closed its pottery program two years earlier.  A studio space was found opposite the North Bay Museum and soon they were able to equip it with the generous support of Canadore and gifts from local potters.  Their enthusiastic landlords helped create a functional and welcoming space for potters and student potters.  The official opening was held in May of 2015.
